The Georgia Satellite's are one of rock's true one-hit wonders - ascending to No. 2 with the blues bombshell "Keep Your Hands to Yourself" in 1986 - but as a newly-released live recording shows, they never stopped rockin'.
Lightnin' in a Bottle: The Official Live Album features the group at a club gig in Cleveland at the end of 1988, tearing through favorites like "Hands," "Can't Stand the Pain" and "Battleship Chains" along with a batch of killer covers of some favorite blues and rock hits, from Jerry Lee Lewis' "Whole Lotta Shakin' Goin' On" and The Beatles' "Don't Pass Me By" all the way to Chuck Berry's "Run Rudolph Run" (the set was taped weeks before Christmas at local club Peabody's) and even a set closing medley of the Ramones' "I Wanna Be Sedated" and the standard "Shake, Rattle and Roll."
The album is available on CD and digitally now, with a vinyl release aiming for July.
