If you've been waiting out in the cold, looking for a deeper work at the late '80s works of Austrian singer Falco - come on in, your wait is finally over!

On April 1, the late singer and "Rock Me Amadeus" hitmaker's fifth and sixth albums, Wiener Blut (1988) and Data de Groove (1990) will be made available as 2CD expanded editions featuring a myriad of rare and unreleased bonus remixes. Each album, incredibly popular in Austria and Germany, will be remastered and accompanied by new liner notes.

Wiener Blut was the culmination of two separate recording sessions undertaken by Falco: one with producers Gunter Meade and Candy Derouge - aiming for a more melodic rock direction - and an ultimate reunion with Bolland & Bolland, the team that produced "Amadeus." With favorites like the title track ("Viennese Blood") and a cover of Steely Dan's "Do It Again," this era was also remembered for a hit duet with actress Bridgitte Nielsen - the Giorgio Moroder-produced "Body Next to Body" - that didn't end up on the final album. (It and its remixes are included herein, along with some unreleased versions of the track "Satellite to Satellite" and new-to-CD rarities as well.)

Data de Groove, a loose concept album many thought was about computers (but Falco admitted was really about sex) saw the singer reunite with producer Robert Ponger, with whom he'd co-written another big hit, "Der Kommissar" (an American pop hit for After the Fire in 1982). It features a dozen remixes as bonus tracks - including four hard-to-find longer versions of album tracks only featured on an early CD pressing.
