The pandemic just got a little bit weirder, and according to former Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox, a lot more dangerous. The source: pop legend Madonna, causing a commotion as she's wont to do.

Madge jumped on Instagram to tout some questionable theories behind COVID-19, including thoughts that there's a cure being kept from the public, and that it's being withheld to “let the rich get richer.” It was enough for the social media platform to blur out the video, and label it as "false information."
It was on Instagram where Lennox slid into the comments section to question Madonna's post: "This is utter madness!!! I can’t believe that you are endorsing this dangerous quackery,” she wrote (via HuffPost UK). “Hopefully your site has been hacked and you’re just about to explain it.”
Madonna has since deleted the post, which showed a clip of America's Frontline Doctors speaking outside the US Supreme Court building at an event organised by Tea Party Patriots Action. In the video, Dr Stella Immanuel, a doctor from Houston, said she had successfully treated 350 coronavirus patients "and counting" using the controversial medicine, hydroxychloroquine.
