For her entire career, Madonna's been well-known as a must-see live performer. This fall, her latest concert tour will be chronicled in a documentary on the Paramount+ network. Madame X, premiering Oct. 8, will showcase highlights and stories behind the tour Madonna embarked on in 2019 and 2020 in support of her 14th album of the same name.

“Sharing my vision with global audiences has been profoundly meaningful to me,” Madonna said in a statement. “The opportunity to bring its message and the incandescent artistry of all involved to an even wider audience comes at a time when music is so deeply needed to remind us of the sacred bond of our shared humanity.”

The Madame X Tour was unlike any she'd put on as a global superstar, bringing a troupe of musicians and dancers to intimate theaters instead of arenas for extended runs in North America and Europe. Despite some struggles along the way, including a persistent knee injury and fan outcry over the shows' late start times, the tour was critically and commercially successful - only ending slightly earlier than anticipated in Paris with increased restrictions amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
